Dying my light brown hair/ blonde highlights to a dark chocolate brown?

i am not doing it myself.. im going to a salon, but i wanted to know how they do it?





b/c obviously the blonde highlighted areas wont come out as dark as the light brown parts.





so how do they make it so that my whole head will be one even color?

i don't really know, but the color completely covers the strands so you can not see the original color, and the color starts to sink into the hair so it stays for a while. the thing is, you don't want it to completely cover because the variety of highlights and low lights is what makes you hair look natural.
