please dont ruin your hair as it will look so unnutural and tacky..go and get it professionally done at a good hairdresser. from black to brown to red then bright yellow thats the colour changing sheme
It probably goes from red to blonde since blonde has the least pigment, but you shouldn't do it yourself if you don't want it to get messed up.
You really dont need to do this yourself. But, if you are going to I would go to a beauty supply store and ask the person working there what you should use. If your hair is natural black-it will take a lot to lift it to blonde. It does go in steps of color-red, orange, yellow then blonde. If you dont use the correct amount of developer or leave it on long enough it wont lift enough-you could turn out with orange hair! You may have to apply the bleach twice to get the disired look of blonde. Which can be damaging to the hair.

As a liscense cosmetologist I would recomend you go to a salon.
bleach can damage your hair!
GO TO A PROFESSIONAL! If you try to do it yourself with those at home bleaching kits, especially since you want such a drastic change, you will end up with orange straw. Go to a reputable hair salon and have a consultation with the stylist before you do it...depending on how dark your hair is, you may have to do a double bleaching process, which can take two visits and in between it may be funny colored. Please, please, please go to a pro!
Don't do that. You are beautiful just like you are!!!
do you like orange- cuz thats probably what color itll turn out- see a professional and maybe she can help you choose a more subtle highlight color that would look better with your current hair color
it's best to use a kit for this, they don't cost alot %26amp; you can find them @ just about any store.

Your hair will go from red to blonde %26amp; it will take a LONG

time.

I had my dark brown hair dyed blonde years ago

( by a professional @ the hair salon) she had to

keep the bleach on for about an hour !
Try a small strand of hair first...thats the safest way
You need to leave it on as long as it takes to go thru the natural course. Since your hair is black, I would just keep checking it until it is to the color that suites you. If you only leave it on for 15 minutes it will be orange. So, keep it on, keep checking it, and when it is right for you, take it out. Personally, I would get it done professionally, but if you really want to do it yourself, go to a beauty supply store and get the mixes there. They can help you with advice too. I wouldn't actually put bleach on your hair.
DONT DO IT YOURSELF.
3 months
go get in done by a salon cuz u can fry ur hair and when u touch it cuz it will break! and dont use bleach at all!
if you have really dark hair you probably should be highlighting your hair blonde. it will look really tacky. go get it done professionally and they can help you pick a color that fits you better.
Don't do it youself.
i have black hair and would NEVER high light it. it won't look very good. black hair is fantastic to have. just use hair gloss. if you have deep black hair all you need is a good shine to it. it will look like doll hair. very silky and shiney is the best thing for black hair. other colors they can highlight and look okay, but really, you'll end up looking like the bride of frankenstein. seriously, it's a skunky kind of contrast.
thats kinda creepy
If your hair is black and you want true blonde, go to a salon. It's hard to take hair from that dark to that light at home by yourself. At a salon they can lighten it with a shade that will also tone out a lot of the reddish tones. Sure it will cost more, but what's worse than Halloween Hair?
have a professional do it. we did mine, and unless you want ronald mcdonald orange, pay to have it done right. what started out as a $7.00 venture, ended up costing me almost $150.00 to have it corrected. not to mention my hair was so fried i ended up looking like buckwheat off of the little rascals.
dont use bleach its dangerous!!!!!!
well heres the problem. if you have black hair you would have to go 2 to 3 steps. when you highlight your hair you should leave it on at least 30 minutes then rinse it out but it probably will not be the color you want so you would have to go over that color again. trust me , my natural hair color is black. i did it plenty of times. i recommend you to go to a hair stylist if you dont want to have to keep on doing the process over and over again. your hair will be damage.
Bleach will turn your black hair YELLOW. Have a professional do it for you so it won't go all yellow on you.
DONT DO BLEACH!....it'll damage ur hair...in some beauty supplies they have hair color for dark hair...use that and read the directions =D
eeeewwwwwwwwwwUUUUUUU!

thats just ugly !
about 10 minutes longer then the box tells you. I have black hair and i bleach my hair every few months and this is usually what I do.
