You know what I use to make my blonde hair blonder so it will not get brassy like it used to is Loreal's Shine Blonde shampoo. It is purple, kinda like when they dye your hair, it has a mild dye to it so you wash with it like a normal shampoo but i keeps your hair blonde, it will do nothing to your dark hair if you have some mixed in with the highlights, it will wash your hair, moisturize it and keep your highlights looking like you just got them done.. No it doesn't necessarily make them brighter. Most citrus works the way any acid would. By closing the hair shaft and making it appear shinier. If you believe shinier to be brighter than yes it would be brighter.
For mine. What I use pantein pro v for blonde hair.
Lemon juice and and sunshine will make highlights in blonde hair
