xXxDo blonde highlights actually go green in strong sunlight??
stay out of the pool for a couple of days until the highlights settle and washing your hair will make them settle quicker. They might go green in the pool - but its never happend to me and NO they wont go green in the sunDo blonde highlights actually go green in strong sunlight??
They can, as a reaction between your natural hair, solar rays and the chemicals in the dye though this is rare and it's more likely to be other chemicals that cause the reaction (such as bleac, chlorine and anything acidic) than it is the sun so it is not likely to happen you should just know that there is a low chance (very low) that it might.

My suggestion would be to do the hilights a somewhat darker shade of blonde. Also carry some backup hair dye just in case.
after you go in the pool wash your hair using a lil bit of lemon juice it gets the chlorine out so ur hair wont go green when it dries you don't have to do it the second you get out of the pool but the sun will make it blonder if n e thing
Nope.

It is chlorine that turns it green. If it turns green just wash it with a rllllllly foamy shampoo.

=)
the sun actually makes your blonde hair just lighter, and it becomes more natural looking. if you are going to be in a chlorine treated pool i suggest wearing your hair up and trying not to get it wet, ir immediately washing it. i suggest paul mitchell detox shampoo, it removes all impurities from your hair so all chlorine will be washed away.
it's not the sun that turns them green it's the chemicals they put in the swimming pool
No but if you go swimming right away they probably will. That happened to me once so wait a few days first. Sun is ok tho.
chlorine turns hair green, not the sun
Blonde high lights do not turn green in the sun light. The sun will lift the colour.

The chlorine from swimming pools does turn lifted or bleached hair green.

The only way to avoid this is to wear a swimming cap in the pool and find a quality, anti chlorine, shampoo which will remove any residue that might get under the cap.

Have a good holiday
Don't use a home d.i.y.hair dye as many of these contain metalic salts and it's the metalic salts that make your hair look green.

If you go to a salon you will be fine
It's not the sun that turns it green, it is the stuff they put in the swimming pool. Buy a proper shampoo and conditioner for getting rid of the chlorine and you will be fine.
