It happened to me because I was letting a lady do mine who charged over 100 dollars. Instead of making it closer to my natural dark blonde color so that new growth would not show up as much she gave me too many highlights so I would need to come back sooner. Now I do my own hair and it does not happen any more . I think for some ladies they see so many people doing it including stars and celebrities that they think it is fine not to keep it up.Poll: Is letting your dark blonde roots grow out too much to the lightened highlights a cry for help?
Yes, if you are going to be a blonde or have highlights you should be able to keep the roots colored or just put a dark color all over it. Nothing looks worse than dark roots. But what do I know?
