I had blonde highlights and last night dyed it med. brown cuz my roots were growing out... NOW i hate it. ?

Its a mousy dull colored brown and it didn't cover all of my highlight. I want to put a Semi-perminate auburn over it but how long do i have to wait?!?! Then ill probably go back to blonde the beginning of next year...if i can afford it!I had blonde highlights and last night dyed it med. brown cuz my roots were growing out... NOW i hate it. ?
Start over. There's a wonderful product called ColorFixx that you can pick up at Sally's Beauty Supply. It's about $13. It stinks like a dead skunk, but it does the job. This is IMPORTANT....when using Colorfixx to remove unwanted color...DO NOT DO STEP 3. Step three will darken your hair to a crazy level. Do steps 1 %26amp; 2 - then dry your hair, (it will be stripped and look kind of yellow) - now you can apply the color you want. I've done this several times (I've been coloring my hair for years) - sometimes because I want a complete change of color, sometimes because I feel I have color buildup, sometimes because I screwed up my color. Anyway, it has never failed me. Best of all, because it takes your hair back to the basics, once you apply the color that you want the results are fabulous and your hair feels fantastic! I love my hair after a treatment of Colorfixx. Just a tip though...the Colorfixx kit is meant for salon use, so it does not come with gloves or an applicator bottle. You can pick those up at Sally's for a buck or two. Good luck!I had blonde highlights and last night dyed it med. brown cuz my roots were growing out... NOW i hate it. ?
AWW i no your pain, i also did that as i have quite dark hair but i put red onto it then it went pink and had to go to the hairdressers after to they could do something with it.

least its not a disaster lol like that, i would go and see your hairdresser and ask 4 some advise on the next way to do Your hair.

if you mind them to expensive then i have a mobile hairdresser who now does my highlights and its a lot cheaper which means now i can afford to keep it going.

good luck in your chose and im sure you will decided what to do next.
If you put auburn over anything that was bleached blonde it will go BRIGHT RED!!!! Be very careful. The best thing to do would be to go to a salon. If money is an issue you could always go for a consultation and not have anything done, they might give you some advice.

If you do want to do a home colour i'd put a semi-permanent mid golden brown (with no ash tones so it doesnt go grey) on it, leave it a couple of weeks to settle, then try an auburn.
you dont have to wait at all to put the auburn over it. color is far less damaging then bleach. but using semi-permanent will for sure cause your highlights to poke through, esp after more and more washes. im sure your hair can handle a permanent. and if you dislike that mousy-ness it prob means you were using an ash and you need more of a warm color. you will prob like the auburn much better.
you don't have to wait.. the only problem with a semi-perm. auburn is that it will fade really quickly back to that dull brown.. if you have thicker hair buy two boxes of hair color and cover your hair completely and when you go back blonde//careful with the bleaching all over cause it will really damage your hair. try heavy highlighting until you get back blonde
Well, I had highlights before too, it faded in about 2 years... Cuz i swim a lot, so the chlorine gets it out... well... i guess u will hav to deal with it! or dye it again!
