Would light brown highlights look good on blonde hair?

Hmm....well this depends. Is your hair naturally super-light, platinum blonde? Or is it more of a naturally dirty blonde? Or strawberry blonde? These are all important questions to consider.

If your hair already has some natural streaks of lighter and darker brown in it, then light brown highlights would look amazing. Just make sure that you go for that natural, sun-kissed look that is totally in for this spring and summer. And also, be sure that you don't totally overdo the highlights with ugly, obviously unnatural colors--this will result in a really bad, forced appearance.

So yes, light brown highlights would look gorgeous on blonde hair, although this depends on what shade your hair is naturally.Would light brown highlights look good on blonde hair?
yeahWould light brown highlights look good on blonde hair?
BROWN .........HMMMMM

I THINK REEDS BROWN NOT LOOK GOOD ...

AND ORANGE BROWN ALSO NOT LOOK GOOD ...

WHY U NOT TRY SOME GOLDEN BROWN

BUT COLOUR SNATCH THE NATURAL SOFTNESS AND MOTHER OF HAIR AND HAIR WILL DRY .......

I THINK NATURAL COLOUR LOOK GOOD.

Should i get blonde highlights?

i have light brown hair, would it look good with blonde highlights?Should i get blonde highlights?
No

why try to create an illusion of something that is not.Should i get blonde highlights?
yah.

highlights will really bring out your face and skin tone.

i have natural ones and i love 'em

:)
Of course! I have light brown hair and got highlights from the sun. Looks good! ;)
i think ne one does lol , get blonde and darker lowlights to create depth :)

WHAT COLOR OF BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS?? Plz help ASAP!?

I have medium-dark brown hair. It is fairly long and I am gonna keep growing it out.(I have brown eyes and tan skin) I am planning on getting side bangs and layers (atleast a couple of inches in difference) in about 3 weeks and I also want to get my hair professionally highlighted as well. I am wondering what color of blonde would look good?? I dont want it to look totally natural or anything, I want it to be NOTICEABLE. I am also wondering if it would look better to get thin highlights or thick ones?? I would really appreciate any input..a lot! Also, I really need any pictures of highlights that would look good in my hair! Thanks ^_^WHAT COLOR OF BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS?? Plz help ASAP!?
a nice strawberry blonde would look GREAT!! especially with the side bangs and layers added to itWHAT COLOR OF BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS?? Plz help ASAP!?
if i were you i would do two colors- a strawberry blond and a white blonde! go every other one, or every two strawberry blondes get a white blonde, either one would work. if you want noticeable, get thick ones!! that would look really good with side sweep bangs. I am a firm believer in making things noticeable! lol. The white blonde might seem like a big color change to you, but trust me, it will look good!
Just watch out for azns doing hair, they sometimes do it with a razor kind of thing and it ruins the hair badly k. Get bleach blonde highlights that's hot.
i would go 4 sumthin dat is kinda brown but mostly blond. thatll look nice
since you have dark brown hair and a warmer complexion do not get bleach blonde or strawberry blonde. I would add carmel tones into your hair that will give your hair warmth and compliment your skin tone. ask you stylist if she agrees that this color of highlights would look good on you. since you want it to be noticeable i wouldn't do thick they are just to much trouble, i would do a lot of thin ones. your stylist knows what she is doing so just sit back, relax, and let her work her magic.i hope this helps.

  • Trying to get rid of blonde highlights for the fall!! HELP!?

I highlighted my hair back in February of this year. It was a great color and I loved it but a few months down the line I got pregnant and was unable to keep up with the maintenance.

How or which product is best to cover up the highlights and it being successful? Mind you that my roots grew out like almost 2 inches out.

I know that sulphate free shampoo is a big factor on it all. I just want advice on which brand of haircolor is best.....? :)Trying to get rid of blonde highlights for the fall!! HELP!?
you mean as dying it brown?

then dye it a chestnut brown, otherwise it'll go green D:

    answer mine?

don't report my question, it wouldn't show up in the question listings :)?

thanks if you do!Trying to get rid of blonde highlights for the fall!! HELP!?
you need to use a brown that has a red tint in it because the red cancels out the yellow in the blonde colour. you need watch for this otherwise the blonde will go green :)

I want to dye my hair auburn, BUT right now it is natural dark brown w/ blonde highlights and...?

i think that if i just dye over it, it will turn out funny.

how should i go about dying my hair auburn (more red than brown) to get the best results?I want to dye my hair auburn, BUT right now it is natural dark brown w/ blonde highlights and...?
first dye ur hair all the same color (like just regular brown) so the highlights won't come out a different color when you die it auburn... then when ur hair is all the same color u can go and dye it auburn...=] also ask a stylist at the salon that ur planning on dying ur hair at.. i'm sure they'll know what 2 doI want to dye my hair auburn, BUT right now it is natural dark brown w/ blonde highlights and...?
i think don't take any chances if you not sure what colour to buy... go to a salon... that will be the best option... alternatively if you have a budget... go to the salon ask them for the colour you want ... analysis the colour well then go to a store and buy it! i coloured my hair recently... it costed me bout R57 (RAS)... but i knew what colour i wanted... just be sure of the colour cause it is not advise-able not to colour your hair to often!

Do u think that a chestnut brown with blonde and red highlights will look nice?

hope i have helped.Do u think that a chestnut brown with blonde and red highlights will look nice?
    yes!

i think it would look very cute!

but if yo hair is short... then i really dont see it happening with it.

but thats my opinion.. i hope i helped!
YER DEFFO I LOVE THEM COLOURS ! FROSTEDS !
Yes I think it would be really lovely. I dont quite understand about the size 10. YIPEE for u

    =]
    i wouldnt say nice.

honestly, but i can't imagine it. so no....
As long as the carpets match the curtains it doesn't matter what colour .

    What color blonde highlights?

i have meduim/dark brown hair and i have 115 dollars, so i gonna get my highlights by a pro. and im gonna get blonde highlights, but what color blonde,

pics would be nice : ]What color blonde highlights?
strawberry bonde, it looks great with brunnette hairWhat color blonde highlights?
LIGHT BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS BUT NOT PLATINUM.

I got blonde highlights in my hair, they were to light so he put a toner #7 in my hair and now it looks green!

What can I do? please help!I got blonde highlights in my hair, they were to light so he put a toner #7 in my hair and now it looks green!
The number is just a level, meaning how dark or light the color actually is. He put the wrong toner in, it will fade in a lil while and you can have it toned again.I got blonde highlights in my hair, they were to light so he put a toner #7 in my hair and now it looks green!
bleach your hair or donate it, then people think u look normal,

also, it sounds better than there was perminate green stuff in my hair, so i cut it
Get your money back and go somewhere else where they know what they are doing. If they won't give you your money back, you can bring them to small claims court and sue them for what you paid for their services and what it costed you to fix it. Maybe some kind of pain and suffering too. Unless you signed a waiver, then you're screwed.

Otherwise if you want to take a DIY approach to this, get a home coloring kit and dye your hair darker, maybe back to it's natural color, and then add your own highlights. If you try to bleach the green out, you will damage your hair greatly and it might even become more green. You have better chances of covering it up with a darker color.
it sounds like the #7 was ';ashy'; which has green in it, if ur hair was as pale as u say, he should have made sure the color he put in had some ';warmth'; in it, (red) and it would have turned out perfect. now ur hair wouldnt have been red by any means, it is just acting like a filler to the hair that is too light. if u go back to him, id ask for him to put some warmth back into ur hair and u shouldnt have to pay for it either if this was a recent service.
How long ago was this? Maybe it will fade with time. But what i would do is go to a salon (not the one that messed your hair up in the first place!) and have it done again.
It's not necessarily the # they used, but the base. You need something with a red base now to take out the green. I suggest you go back to the place that did it and request your $ back- use it to go somewhere else for corrective coloring.

  • Blonde hair / highlights is better on fair complexion or on dark complexion?

A fair complexion. I always found that hair that's lighter than skin tone looked odd.Blonde hair / highlights is better on fair complexion or on dark complexion?
I agree mostly with the others but would like to add something...dark complexion as in black or hispanic, NO that is not good, but if you are a white girl with a tan, highlights look super hot and make you look like a beachy Cali girl, I know because I have had them before with a tan and received alot of complements...good luck!Blonde hair / highlights is better on fair complexion or on dark complexion?
fair skin because if your dark it will look unnatural and it wont look very good....unless u have a very light tan colored skin
Fair complexion. Blonde hair on a darker person (extremely tan-black), just doesn't look right. It washes you out and makes you look dry.
    fair skin is better

I have darkish blonde hair with caramel highlights and i feel like going a bit darker. any tips?

Like i said b4 i have blonde hair and it is brown underneathe. I am thinking of going a bit darker like maybe a honey colour. I've been blonde all my life but as i got older my hair got a little darker blonde. I feel like a change and the blonde takes alot to keep it healthy and from breaking. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on going darker. If you do that would be awesomeI have darkish blonde hair with caramel highlights and i feel like going a bit darker. any tips?
Use a semi-permanent hair color which is a dark blond or lightest brown. (colors tend to look darker than expected from the swatches you see.)

Apply it all over or have a stylist do it.

It is more gentle on your already processed blond hair and should hold pretty well, because it will be somewhat porous.I have darkish blonde hair with caramel highlights and i feel like going a bit darker. any tips?
    I have hazel eyes

and thanks so much for the tips guys! I'm gettin my hair done nov 1 so i think im gettin an idea of what to do lol
    oh yea i luv apples
Buy a shade lighter than what you want. Hair color always comes out darker thatn what you see on the box. And do a strand test first to see if you like it. I would go for a carmel color. What color are your eyes?

Going from highlights to all over blonde?

My natural hair colour is mousey brown, and I have medium to pale skin. I've always had half head foil highlights in a cool blonde colour to brighten my hair up.

Last year, the stylist I have always used moved abroad, so I started going to a different salon. I wasn't happy with the way they highlighted my hair, and now it looks a mess with all different types of blonde in, and you can see the graduation in my hair where the shades of blonde differ.

I am due to have my hair done, and I was thinking of just getting a permanent light blonde colour on the top half of my head, and leaving my natural mousey colour on the bottm half to keep some variation, and not be full on blonde.

Is it possible to just have half of your head coloured (like highlights), and do you think this is a wise move?

Thanks xxxxGoing from highlights to all over blonde?
It's totally possible... Lots of people have it done, and it's really easy for pro's to do it. (even if you want to do it to yourself, it's easy.... click the first link below for directions) I know you didn't mention this, but definitely don't die it the top blonde, stick to highlights like you said. (%26amp; if you totally hate your natural color on the bottom, you can die that a brown that you like) I used to have my hair dark on bottom and highlights on top %26amp; I loved it. It's practical, easy to maintain, and trendy.... and if you want to gradually get to your whole head being your natural color (something to think about) this is the way to do it! The second link below is a picture of sort-of the look it would be like, but the bottom and even the top color wouldn't be so drastic on your hair probably. So, it's definitely possible to do, and YES I do think it's a very wise move... good luck! :)Going from highlights to all over blonde?
not a wise move. I have natually dishwater blonde hair and had colored it a light blonde and then decided to mink (color the underneath only) it with a dark brown. And I had to get a full bleach foil to get my color to look more uniform again and I will have to go at least once more to make it all look the same color again.

Get some bleach foils through the top, and maybe a few throughthe bottom. But don't color just one section of your hair.
    just dye it all.
I've seen some ugly girls with blonde hair on top and underneath its like dark brown and it looks totally gay and like so gross and like so ugly I'm like eww you look so ugly like eww
Well I think the best move would be just to dye it all....and think about it it might make yuor hair look better!! hope this helps!!

Do only some foils on your crown.. and bottom where you can see when you put your hair up! Do thin weaved strands.. not thick.. they look unnatural!

i have blonde hair well dirty blonde hair and very whiteish skin how would brown hair with blonde highlights look on me ?I want to die my hair brown? with blonde highlights?
dye is like really bad 4 ur hair

u said let ur natural beauty shine through and keep ur regular hair color

but my friend uses a shampoo 4 brunettes even though she is a blonde

and it makes her hair look naturally brown

so try some shampoo like thatI want to die my hair brown? with blonde highlights?
if u dye ur hair u will damage it so i prefer not to dye ur hair!!
You should take the risk..... I think itll look good usually it always turns out looking good ok....... dats what i did
i got that hair style! (sorry if you dont like her but) I got it from Miley Cyrus.
my stepmom is a hair stylist...

if youre just pale with light skin then i say go for it.

now if youre so pale you have like a pink tint to your skin please dont!!!.

    itll lookm terrible.

it all depends on just how pale you are.

if you do decide to go for it...

do a chestnut brown [its like a light chocolate brown] with really soft blonde highlights.

dont do the highlights to light or itll make your skin look even paler.
I did the same thing, and I think it looks really good. Most people look better with darker hair. Its your head, do what you want with it ;)
as long as you stay in a light/medium brown or do darker with heavy weaved in highlights(where it blends in, not striped) it would look fine.
    ';die hair DIE!!!';

    lol

    it's ';dye';, hon.
if you wanna kill your hair be my guest
    better.
I think dark hair would wash you out if your skin is very fair. Try asking your stylist for low-lights.. they're like highlights, except darker, and the stylist will know what looks good.

And if you do decide to dye your hair brown, I wouldn't get the blonde highlights. That looks fake, in my opinion.

Has anyone ever went from bleach blonde hair to really dark brown with caramel highlights and did it yourself?

I want to try it at home myself with coloring from walmart but I'm scared I'll screw it up. Does anyone know how to do it? Especially the highlighting part??? thanks!Has anyone ever went from bleach blonde hair to really dark brown with caramel highlights and did it yourself?
you need to go red first. Those highlight kits never seem to work that well. For such a drastic change I'd go to hairdressers if you can't afford that see if they need models to train on, it's often free or really cheap and they don't want you leaving looking a mess, do they!!Has anyone ever went from bleach blonde hair to really dark brown with caramel highlights and did it yourself?
All I did was dye my hair french roasted by Loreal Feris and then used garnier frutis highlighting and used the bronze color and just ran my hands through my hair and i have very good highlights. the highlights aren't like carameal but it is a darker blonde, it was darker before swimming so yea.
yes but u have to dye it twice.
Yes, but if you just use the plain old bottle brown, you will end up with a greenish brown hair. You will need to buy 2 boxes of hair dye, one brown, and one deep auburn red. Then when mixing, use half the brown and half the red in the mixing bottle. You need the red to cover the cool tones you get after bleaching your hair. You will have a slight reddish tint to your hair for about 4-5 days until it oxidizes, then you should be left with the brown color.
